Learning with an AI without being carried along
A course from the Academy: Getting exactly what you want
Go to the quiz ↓An AI is an infinitely patient private tutor. It's also the most effective way to believe you've understood something without having learned a thing.
The difference between reading and working
Reading a clear explanation gives a feeling of understanding. That feeling isn't understanding: it vanishes as soon as you have to reproduce something.
The fix comes down to one phrase: "Ask me questions instead of explaining."
The loop that works
- "Explain X to me simply."
- "Now ask me three questions to check."
- You answer without re-reading.
- "Correct my answers and tell me what I got wrong."
Step 3 is the one people skip, and it's the only one that makes you learn.
Getting quizzed on your own notes
Paste in your lecture or meeting notes and ask: "Quiz me on this, one question at a time, and wait for my answer." It becomes a revision partner, without ever losing patience.
The case where you should refuse its help
If the goal is to know how to do something, not just get a result, delegating too early robs you of the building process. Learning to write, to code, to reason requires failed attempts. It can show you where you're stuck; it can't get stuck in your place.
What to do now
Pick a topic you want to master. Run the full loop, answering step 3 yourself, without re-reading.

A 4-question quiz: 3 correct answers are enough, plus an exercise to practise. It opens in the Academy, on this same lesson.
